About us
Murdoch Wood was founded in 2011. With a farm woodland management background and a view for diversification and sustainability. Trees, woodlands and forests form a key part of that. This is how the Murdoch Wood journey began. Over the past 13 years we have built up experience and a broad skill base working on commercial and domestic jobs, from large area felling to technical climbing jobs. We have a team with a whole host of knowledge, skills and experience. We provide professional tree services using high end equipment, offering honest expert advice with hard working staff at competitive prices.
We are a City and Guilds NPTC compliant business, meaning not only do we attend professional training and get assessed, but we attend refresher courses and assessments to keep our skills up to date and to a modern high standard. Our qualifications include aerial dismantling, multiple windblown trees, operation of MEWPs and Professional Tree Inspection. (Full list available on request). Combined with many years of experience we provide a professional service for all of our customers. As all jobs are different, quotations are specific to each job. We are based on the Angus/Perthshire boundary where a lot of our work is based but we are happy to travel if essential. We often work in Ayrshire in South West Scotland to help with the family farm and local estate woodland/forestry management.
