Murdoch Wood was founded in 2011. With a farm woodland management background and a view for diversification and sustainability. Trees, woodlands and forests form a key part of that. This is how the Murdoch Wood journey began. Over the past 10 years we have built up a broad skill base working on a vast array of jobs from large area felling to technical climbing jobs. We have a team with a whole host of knowledge, skills and experience. We provide professional tree services using high end equipment, offering honest expert advice with hard working staff at competitive prices.

We are a City and Guilds NPTC compliant business, meaning not only do we attend professional training and assessments but we also attend refresher courses and assessments to keep our skills up to date and a modern high standard. Combined with many years of experience we provide a professional service for all of our customers. As all jobs are different, quotations are provided in advance. For longer term commercial jobs hourly rates can be agreed in advance.

We are based on the Angus/Perthshire boundary where a lot of our work is based but we are happy to travel if essential. Outwith Covid-19 times we often work in Ayrshire in South West Scotland to help with the family farm and estate woodland/forestry management. In the near future we aim to work in our local authority areas but we are happy to plan ahead, so get in touch to discuss work needing completed and we can add you to our priority list.
